The East Wintergarden opened in October 2003 and is proving to be a favourite for corporate, private and charity events.
The modern and stylish venue, designed by Cesar Pelli and based on the Wintergardens in New York, boasts 682 sq meters of coloured marble floor and steamed beech wood panelling and accommodates up to 500 for banqueting and 800 - 1000 for receptions. The main feature of the venue is the impressive arched glass atrium which measures 27m at its highest point.
The Gallery, suspended above the main floor, can accommodate up to 120 guests seated and 250 for a reception. The Gallery can be hired on its own and makes a great alternative space for smaller functions and drinks receptions whilst still enjoying the striking architecture.
The East Wintergarden and its technical specifications are designed to accommodate a wide variety and style of functions as effortlessly as possible. To maintain the open plan layout and clean lines of the venue, technical equipment is installed out of sight, with power, wireless network and control lines all recessed in walls or the floor.
We have created a 'transparent' venue which is versatile enough to facilitate the wildest creations of event producers. The space also benefits from floor level auxiliary spaces for food preparation and an on-site management office complete with computer, printer, fax, copier and scanning facilities.
The Promenade Room is available for use in conjunction with the East Wintergarden and is a multi-media meeting room, large enough for 40 theatre style and 30 boardroom style - ideal for workshop sessions, boardroom meetings, a VIP/artists room, press conferences and small presentations.
