Developing both new and existing employees is key to the future prosperity of CWG. Employees undertake this development through both formal and informal training.
CWG offers an abundance of training resources to help colleagues continue to develop during the course of their career. We recognise that the need for training can arise anytime in employment, therefore we continually review training needs and also encourage staff to identify their own training and development needs.
Professional Training
Employees wishing to undertake additional further education or training which is job and business related are given flexibility for time and study allowance.
Performance Appraisal
The Performance Appraisal is conducted annually and provides the opportunity for the employees to agree development objectives with their manager and identify any training needs.
Work Experience
Work experience plays an important role in developing the skills of the Company’s future employees. Canary Wharf Group gives the opportunity to local students to gain key skills to help them with future employment which is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility commitment. The objective is to ensure we take a minimum of 30 students from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and surrounding boroughs.
